Stress At Work Coaching
Are you stressed out?
You know when you’re overloaded. You know when you’ve taken on too much. You know when work has become your life and that thing called play is nowhere to be seen.
You can say to yourself, “I work to live. I don’t live to work,” but there are days, no doubt, when it seems as though you’re embodying the exact opposite of this sentiment. If you’re struggling with too much on your plate, then it’s time to set some boundaries in your work life.
In times of increased stress, it can be difficult to remember to practice anything that even vaguely resembles sensible stress management. Trying to remember to eat well and get to the gym gets lost when we are racing to make it home for your child’s bedtime at 7pm.
People are always asking how they can be there for other people in their lives when they feel exhausted. This is the first lesson in stress management – you can’t be there for your spouse, children, boss or colleagues if you are not there for yourself. You have to come first – even if that only means you make the time to eat 3 meals a day! In these difficult times practicing these tips can mean the difference between a day full of energy, and one where you feel beat up by life. To help you deal with your stress it is important to remember to practice sensible stress releasing behaviours.
Men and women react differently to stress because of proven chemical and physiological differences within our bodies. Not understanding the behaviours of the opposite sex during these difficult times can further compound our stress levels.
In our coaching sessions we’ll look at communication and relationships using the evidence of scientific research. It is possible to be in a balanced give-and-take relationship with your employer or employee. Indeed, this is a relationship like any other. You can manoeuvre through difficulties by discussing them honestly and openly while respecting the other person.
Keeping the Mars Venus principles in mind and by taking the others needs into consideration – without neglecting your own – you have a better chance of coming to an agreement that suits all parties involved. I’ll share with you the tools that are necessary to cultivate harmonious relationships at work and at home. We’ll also discuss lifestyle choices that are essential for health.
